Thanks for posting. My favorite movie. I just switch my devise to B&W. Much of the emphasis and emotion, as well as the staging, drama and blocking

of the picture and the scene, character and situational development and point of delivery is lost in color. This, and the noir genre were literally filmed with and in specific shadows and shades and imagery that is lost with color.
I read recently that a number of magazines have named Bogie as the greatest movie star of the 20th century.......not "Actor", but movie star........With
...
this I completely concur......No actor ever had more charisma, more dynamic raw appeal than Bogie Some critic back in the 40s before this film was viewed expressed doubt that Bogie was handsome enough to be Ingrid Bergman's male co-star...........MAN WERE THEY WRONG!!!!!!! Having seen the movie(A score of times) I can't think of anyone else who could have played Bergie's lover except Bogie. As for the movie (I must say this very discretely, having been born and raised in Georgia ,with roots going back 200 years, I'm most likely going to be flayed, castrated and hanged for not saying Going with the Wind......nevertheless.....) As for the movie, in my opinion, knowing opinions to be like assholes, it is the greatest movie ever made.......Aside from Bogie Paul Henreid is superbe, Bergman her always beautiful, vulnerable, enchanting self......Of course you have the beloved worm, Peter Lorre with, of course, the Fat Man Sidney Greenstreet......(What Bogie movie is really as good without these two wonderful character actors?) At last I'm thrilled they colorized it.......All in all a perfect film
